George Named Fourth Team Preseason All-American

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA-Junior forward Harrison George (Raleigh, NC/Leesville) was recently named to's Preseason All-American team earning fourth team honors. The junior has already made a strong impact in a Tiger uniform, earning First Team All-ODAC and Second Team All-Region honors as a sophomore. In his inaugural campaign, George was named the ODAC and VaSID Rookie of the Year while also earning Honorable Mention All-ODAC honors.

Last season, George averaged an ODAC-best 20.0 points-per-game to go with 8.0 caroms. He also led the team and was fourth in the conference in field goal percentage connecting on 188 of his 325 attempts (56.1%). In addition, he lead the team 38 steals (1.46 spg), was third in blocks (13) and fourth in assists (1.77 apg).

The two-time All-ODAC pick also posted nine double-doubles including a stretch of four consecutive double-digit scoring and rebounding. George managed to score in double figures in 25 of his 26 games while pouring in at least 20 on 15 occasions.

In his two years, George has scored 884 points.
