After a scoreless fourth, the Little Giants increased their lead to 3-1 with David Oliger scoring on a wild pitch.

The Tigers cut back into the lead in the seventh, and trailed by one run as Jeff Decker (Mechanicsville, VA/Hanover) and Ryan O'Hara (Suffolk, VA/Nansemond River) pulled a double steal to score O'Hara from third.

The Tigers still trailed 3-2 in the bottom of the ninth, but Wabash walked three straight batters after retiring the lead off man, Andrew Tucker (Fincastle, VA/James River). With the bases loaded, Wiles hit a walk-off double to score Tommy Barlow (Hebron, MD/Delmar) and John Lloyd (Glen Allen, VA/Deep Run) for the win.
