Hampden-Sydney Cross Country Has Three Finish Under 30 Minutes at ODAC Championship

Hampden-Sydney saw three runners finish under 30 minutes at the ODAC Championship meet hosted by Washington and Lee in Buena Vista, and the Tigers placed ninth on the day.

THE BASICS

  • Place: 9th out of 10
  • Location: Vista Links Golf Course – Beuna Vista, VA

TIGERS TOP FIVE PERFORMERS

  • Lewis Brooks placed 25th with a time of 27:43.4
  • Maxwell Morgan clocked in at 28:44.8, good for 47th
  • John Dyke posted a 29:53.9 for 71st
  • Cecil Tiblin crossed the finish line in 30:54.6 to place 85th
  • Lucas Paris rounded out the scoring for the Tigers with a 91st placement and a time of 31:40.2

OTHER TOP PERFORMERS

  • Washington and Lee won the championship while the Generals' Mac Strehler took home the gold and both the ODAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year and ODAC Runner of the Year awards and Brandon Spalding took home Coach of the Year
  • Abrham Amine of Eastern Mennonite was named the Rookie of the Year, placing 13th

  • H-SC will head south to Rome, GA, on Nov. 12 to run in the NCAA South/Southeast Regional Championship
