Tiger Harriers Place 8th at ODAC Championship

BEDFORD, VA - The Hampden-Sydney cross country team placed eighth at the 2011 ODAC Cross Country Championship on Saturday, hosted by Lynchburg College at the Claytor Nature Center in Bedford, VA.

Andrew Stoddard (Richmond, VA / Mills E. Godwin) led the pack for the Tigers, placing 32nd with a time of 27:51. Andrew Craver (East Bend, NC / Forbush) made his return to the course after an extended absence and picked up where he left off, finishing the 8K course in 28:39 to place 40th. Yonathan Tarekegne-Ararso (Addis Ababa, Ethiopia / Woodberry Forest) ran a 31:12 to finish in 70th. Henry Loehr (Free Union, VA / Western Albemarle) trekked the course in 32:28 for 76th while Ned Belliveau (Lexington, VA / Rockbridge County) was 78th in a time of 33:57. David Barrett (Virginia Beach, VA / Norfolk Academy) paced the course in 34:07 for 79th while Brett Crocker (Troutville, VA / Lord Botetourt) rounded out the Tiger contention in 82nd at 35:59.
