Hampden-Sydney Swims Past Davis & Elkins 126-34


ROANOKE, VA - Hampden-Sydney Swimming took a 126-34 win over Davis & Elkins at Hollins University on Monday.

The team of Ke Shang, Alton Brieske, Daniel Moyers, and Andy Snow took the 200 medley relay in 1:49.78. The Tigers went 1-2-3 in the 50 free with Treavor Hartwell, Snow, and Lee Ayscue finished in 24.11, 24.47, and 25.72 respectively. Brieske took the top spot in the 200 IM with a time of 2:17.81, and Moyers defeated teammate Kelley Grayson to win the 100 fly at 1:08.03. Hampden-Sydney also took all three top spots in the 100 free as Ayscue, Jake Simon, and Gus Mohay finished the event in 58.32, 1:00.69, and 1:02.23.

John Sheffield took down two teammates to win the 100 back stroke in 1:04.07 while Brieske won the 100 breast stroke with a time of 1:08.83. The Tigers also won the 200 free relay in 1:40.23 behind the team of Ayscue, Hartwell, Shang, and Snow.

The Tigers have off until December 1 when they travel to RandolphRandolph-Macon.
