FOREST, VA - Sophomore forward Robert Stephens (Williamsburg, VA/Lafayette) was named the ODAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week on Monday.

Stephens scored three goals and posted one assist en route to helping the Tigers topple two of the top teams in the ODAC this week. Against a Lynchburg team that had allowed only one goal in ODAC play and was coming off five straight shutouts, Stephens scored twice on the Hornets and assisted on the third score in a 3-0 H-SC win. Stephens became one of only two players to score multiple goals on the vaunted Lynchburg defense that has recorded seven shutouts in 14 contests. He followed up against Bridgewater with one goal in a second 3-0 triumph for the Tigers.

Stephens has scored all 13 of his points this season in the last three games, all ODAC contests, to help carry the Tigers to a three-game winning streak. In ODAC only games, Stephens ranks tied for third for both goals and points.

Hampden-Sydney closes out its regular season home schedule on Wednesday against Virginia Wesleyan College at 4 pm.
