Three Tigers Named Lacrosse First-Team All-State

First-Team All-ODAC and All-State: Thomas Armstrong, Thomas Passenant, New Bowden

LYNCHBURG, VA - Thomas Armstrong, Ned Bowden, and Thomas Passenant were each named First-Team All-State by the Virginia Sports Information Directors.

Armstrong was previously named an Honorable Mention All-American and First-Team All-ODAC. He is second on the team in points (40), goals (26), assists (14), and man-up goals (5) and leads all H-SC midfielders in each category. Armstrong posted at least three points in eight games, scored a goal in 14 of 16 games, and contributed at least one point in 15 of 16.

Bowden and Passenant were also tabbed First-Team All-ODAC back in May. Bowden and Passenant helped lead the defense to a 6.79 goals against average in league play, the third best mark in the ODAC. The trio limited several All-ODAC offensive players to below their season averages. Bowden led the team in caused turnovers (22) and ground balls (53) and also added two goals and an assist. Passenant contributed 16 caused turnovers and 31 ground balls.
