Tigers Place 12th in Competitive Jekyll Island Invitational The Hampden-Sydney Tigers placed 12th overall in the highly-competitive Jekyll Island Invitational over the weekend. The field consisted of 29 teams, several in the top-25. The Tigers shot 38 over-par in the three round event; Greensboro won the team event at 11 over-par, and Huntingdon, Methodist, and Oglethorpe all tied for second at 15 over-par.

Golf Ties for Second in TaylorMade-ADIDAS Intercollegiate The Hampden-Sydney golf team opened its spring season with a strong start, tying for second place in the TaylorMade-ADIDAS Intercollegiate. Indian Hills Community College ran away with the event, finishing 26 over-par while the Tigers and Carnegie Mellon tied for second at 68 over-par.

Golf Wraps Up Fall Season With 7th Place Finish The Hampden-Sydney golf team closed out the fall season with a seventh place finish in the O’Briant-Jensen Memorial Golf Tournament, hosted by Guilford College in Greensboro. The host-Quakers finished second, behind tournament champion Huntingdon.

Persily Named ODAC Golfer of the Week Junior golfer Aaron Persily has been named this week’s Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Golfer of the Week after leading the Tigers in the Royal Lakes Intercollegiate.
