Tigers Place 5th in Ted Keller Memorial

RESULTS

GLEN ALLEN, VA-The Hampden-Sydney golf team participated in the Ted Keller Memorial Invitational this past weekend and placed 5th overall in the 11-team field. The Tigers were paced by Rick O'Connell (Goochland, VA/Goochland) and Drew Arnold (Chatham, VA/Chatham) who placed 12th (+7) and 21st (+12), respectively.

O'Connell shot rounds of 77 and 74, and Arnold posted scores of 76 and 80. Finishing third for Hampden-Sydney and 25th overall was George Whiting (Charlotte, NC/Myers Park) who finished 14 over par with a 77 and an 81.

Trey Cully (Studley, VA/Hanover) finished 32nd overall via a 77 and 83, and Trent Tuttle (Diamondale, MI/Holt) was four strokes behind Cully (79, 85) for a 41st place finish.

Randolph-Macon's Kyle Fuller took home medalist honors while shooting one over par in the tournament and helping the Yellow Jackets to a second place finish (+29). The Guilford Quakers shot 18 over par to win the event, and Franklin & Marshall rounded out the top three.

Hampden-Sydney has wrapped up its fall season, but the team will compete in the Col. Gus Franke Memorial Tournament on October 12. For more information, click here.
