HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA-The 17th ranked and ODAC-leading Tigers (20-2, 12-1 ODAC) return home to face the Eagles of Bridgewater College (13-9, 7-6 ODAC) on Saturday afternoon. The two teams have yet to meet this season with their last game going in favor of the Tigers 87-62 on February 1, 2012 in Fleet Gymnasium. Tip off is set for 2:00 pm.
At halftime of Saturday's game, the Heartland Heat cheerleaders will be performing.
The Tigers, currently on a nine game winning streak, are enjoying one of the best seasons in recent history. Head coach Dee Vick's squad currently stands as the number one team in the south in the NCAA Regional Rankings and has hit the 20 win mark for the first time since 2003-04. The Tigers also swept Randolph-Macon for the first time since 1999-00 after their 66-47 win in Ashland.
Bridgewater is also enjoying a successful season. Head coach Don Burgess is turning the team around with a 13-9 overall record and 7-6 ODAC mark as opposed to last season's 7-19 overall record and 4-12 conference finish. The Eagles are on a three game win streak including a 70-61 victory over Shenandoah in their last outing.
