HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA-The 2012 Capital One Academic All-District Football Teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, have been released to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Capital One has been the entitlement rights holder to CoSIDA's Academic All-America teams programs since 2011.
Goad, a junior tight end, holds a 3.56 GPA, is majoring in history, and is a member of the National History Honors Society. He is a two-time Academic All-ODAC selection and a 2011 Third Team All-ODAC pick. This season, Goad has caught 19 passes for 199 yards.
Leboff has emerged as one of the team's top defensive linemen this season and leads the Tigers with four sacks. He's also tallied 5.5 tackles-for-loss to go with 29 tackles. Leboff has had a knack for finding the ball with two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble, and a blocked kick. In the classroom, the Amelia, Virginia native boasts a 3.66 GPA with a major in mathematical economics.
Price adds Academic All-District to his Campbell Award Semifinalist honor this season. With a double major in physics and applied mathematics, and a minor in national security and military leadership, Price holds a 3.81 GPA. He is a member of Omicron Kappa Delta, Chi Beta Phi, and Pi Mu Epsilon. He also won the 2012 President's Award for Academic Excellence in Natural Sciences and Mathematics. On the field, Price is third on the team with 61 tackles. He's notched 4.5 tackles-for-loss, four pass break ups, and 0.5 sacks.
