Former Tiger Kicker Named PIFL Special Teams Player of the Week

KNOXVILLE, TN-Former Hampden-Sydney placekicker and current Richmond Raider T.C. Stevens (Alton, VA/Halifax) was recently named the Special Teams Player of the Week for the Professional Indoor Football League for the first week of the PIFL season.

In his Richmond debut, Stevens got off to a prolific start with the opening kickoff by scoring the first of his two Uno's for the night. The former Tigers was also a perfect 8-for-8 on extra point attempts while adding field goals of 42- and 22-yards, respectively.

Stevens, a 2009 graduate, was a kicker for the Tigers from 2005-08 while thrice being named to All-ODAC teams. He connected on 77 of his 87 PAT attempts, and hit 11 field goals, including a career long 42 yarder as a junior.

Stevens and the Radiers (1-0) travel to Georiga this week to take on last year's PIFL champion, the Albany Panthers, on Saturday night. The game will be webcast over the Richmond Raiders' website, www.richmondraidersprofootball.com.
