HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA-Senior running back Kirk Rohle (Mechanicsville, VA/Hanover) was one of Beyond Sports Network's (BSN) athletes of the week after his standout performance against Guilford College. Rohle was also named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts.
In the 63-49 win over Guilford, Rohle scored five touchdowns while gaining 232 yards from scrimmage. He was a force on the ground, rushing for over 100 yards in his third straight game and fourth this season. His 139 yards on 22 carries is his second best mark for the season and third best mark for his career while his four rushing touchdowns are a career-high. In the game, he also caught five passes for 93 yards and a touchdown.
Rohle currently stands at 1,996 career rushing yards and has scored 27 rushing touchdowns. In addition, he has 850 receiving yards to go with an additional eight touchdowns.
Rohle and the Tigers return to action this Saturday, November 5th as they host Washington & Lee University.
