HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA-The Hampden-Sydney baseball team used 16 hits to score nine runs in a 9-1 victory over Lynchburg to even up the season series between the two. The Tigers now stand at 12-13 overall and 6-6 in the ODAC while Lynchburg falls to 13-16 on the season and 6-10 in conference play.

Kasiski got in the scoring action again, scoring from second on a Devin Daugherty (Norcross, GA/Greater Atlanta Christian) RBI-single in the third inning.
Lynchburg got on the scoreboard with a run in the top of the fifth, but Daugherty scored a run for the Tigers in the bottom frame on a Hornet error to put the Tigers up 4-1.
The lead continued to mount in the seventh with Tyler Blevins (Draper, VA/Pulaski) batting in Counts and Kasiski.
The pitching staff combined to hold Lynchburg to just the one run on four hits.
